This year has already come to an end. Can you believe this?! How is it that it has been a full year since I made the decision to take my blog to another level and that I actually wanted to do this on a full time basis.See, probably as most of you, I started Petite & Bold ( which was actually golden peony before my mini rebrand haha ) as a way to express my creativity. My parents told me they're not surprised I have taken this route lol. I've always been creative since my early age. What you also need to know is that I started blogging right after my wedding. My husband and I got married back home and I came back in Montréal alone ( he had to stay behind for 6 months which seemed like an eternity ). So obviously, you can understand I needed something to help me forget how miserable I was feeling being away from him.
As mentioned earlier, last year was when I realized I could actually make a living of what I love to do! Based on the many e-mails I receive from brands for collaborations, the positive feedback I get from my loved ones, friends and lovely readers; I know this What I have learned this year is definitely that hard work always pays off and that determination is key in this blogging business. As soon as I started focusing on my blog / printshop ; I immediatly noticed I gained more followers, more engagement, more business opportunities. I'm no longer hesitant to reach out to people / fellow bloggers for advice OR companies I want to work with. The worst thing that can happen is a frank NO right?!
Not the end of the world, the hustle must continue. One thing for sure is that it's really ( extremely ) hard to blog while working another 9 to 5 job and most importantly having a family to take care of. I'll share with you in a upcoming post, my goals for 2017.
So stay tuned! Now onto this holiday style look. I think red is such a rich colour which fits this time of the year. It basically looks great on a majority of skin tone. An embroidered top ( a little bit of see through for a sexy touch with gorgeous details) and a full high-waisted A-line skirt are sure to be a great combo for the upcoming soirées. Black tights are always sure to add a classy feel to an outfit. I love these black dots ones from Rachel's Box.
Throw on a little black suede jacket and you're good to go!
** Side note if you can't see it via some of the pictures ... I was freezing my butt off! Being a fashion blogger in Canada ain't easy! You really gotta love the job LOL
I truly hope you all had a phenomenal year so far! Have you struggled with a few things or may have your learned some important things about the blogosphère or yourself?! Let me know in the comments.
Bisous x
