THE PODCASTS I LOVE LISTENING TO
I don't know why I took so long to start listening to podcasts on a regular basis. I was definitely missing out. There are thousands of podcasts on a variety of topics, so there is something for everyone. I am particularly interested in personal development, entrepreneurship, content creation, personal finance and interviews with people who share incredible success stories. Below is a list of my current favs.
OPRAH'S SUPER SOUL CONVERSATIONS
Oprah is a real life legend. She had such an impact people's lives for years through her tv show and she continues to do so via her Super Soul Conversations podcast. I don't know how she does it, but through her conversations, Oprah makes you go deep down in your soul. Her interviews are incredibly curated and each one has an ultimate goal: " Awaken, discover and connect you to the deeper meaning of the world around you ". I sometime cry listening to some of her episodes because I feel so connected to the stories. One thing for sure is that I always feel uplifted, inspired and HUMAN when I listen to them. It's a game changer!
THE CLEVER GIRLS KNOW
To be honest, I haven't always been on top of my finances and I kind of regret it now. Ever since I've decided to take control of my finances and ultimately live a debt-free life; I've discovered ressources to help me achieve this goal. Bola's podcast is one of them. From tips on how to reduce your debt and stick to your budget, to finding ways to earn more money, you've got it all in there. Her podcast is authentic, easy to listen to and she always has amazing guests to share their stories. It feels good to know that we are not alone in a certain situation and that there are always ways to improve our lives, grow financially and build wealth along the way.
SIDE HUSTLE PRO
One thing I like about the Side Hustle Pro podcast is its emphasis on black women entrepreneurs. It's really encouraging to witness black women who are successfully juggling a side hustle with a day job, or have managed to turn their side hustle into their full time jobs. Amazing real life black women' narratives: sisters who have built a profitable online boutique, Melissa Buttler on why she created Lip Bar [ a line of cosmetics which are safe and affordable ]. I could go on for days.The Side Hustle Pro podcast has been named “the perfect entrepreneurship podcast” by Mashable and has earned close to a million downloads since its debuts. Trust me, you will love it.
FOHR CASTS
Are you a content creator? First thing first, sign up to Fohr and have your account verified then add it to your media kit. It's no news people can actually buy followers, likes, Instagram stories views now! Crazy, I know. Brands are aware of this and want to make sure they are working with content creators who are real. Fohr analyses your following and when it's done, they issue a certificate confirming that you have an authentic following. How cool is that?Their podcast ( which are actually the audios of their Youtube channel episodes) gives great tips on various topics related to content creation. How to increase engagement, deal with bots, or negotiate paid contrats; it's such a great podcast with lots of insights. Sometimes, they invite some well known content creators to discuss their careers, how they started and how they got to where they are right now. They also discuss content creation ethics, engagement on Instagram etc ...Do you guys have some favourite podcasts you'd like to share? Comment below ...
