WHY YOU SHOULD KEEP PITCHING BRANDS

The simple answer to this question is because sponsored partnerships are not always going to fall onto your laps. Sometimes, you have to be the one initiating them. If you want to work with a brand, reach out. Personally, I have learned to pitch brands with time. I have felt "embarrassed" and pushy at times, but not anymore.

When it's done respectfully and properly, it should never feel embarrassing. On the contrary, you're putting yourself on your favorite brands' radar and if your content speaks to them, they'll be grateful you got in touch with them.

I only reach out to brands I genuinely am admirative of and / or that I've always wanted to work with.

Before pitching a brand, here are some information to gather and things to do:

  1. Make sure you are following the brand and engaging with its content on social media for a while before pitching the brand. It will always look and feel more genuine for both your audience and the brand.

  2. Find the right contact information. I always prefer to address my email to someone in particular instead of saying " BONJOUR XXX TEAM ". You can send a DM on Instagram to ask for the right person to get in touch with, or you can use my secret weapon: LinkedIn! Do not sleep on LinkedIn. Play the detective, search by keywords, you’ll be surprised at how fun and sometimes quite easy it can be to find the information you are looking for on LinkedIn.

  3. Whenever you have the opportunity, tag the brand when sharing a piece of content that features their products or services. This is such a great way to actually get the brand to notice you before you reach out to them.

  4. Send a stellar cold pitch: you can watch my Instagram reel video over HERE which goes over the essential of what you should include in your cold pitch. I might write an exclusive blog post on that as well. Stay tuned!

  5. Stay POSITIVE! You might not secure a partnership right away ( paid of gifted ), but just keep on working on publishing quality content that you love.
