5 WAYS TO START THE DAY OFF RIGHT
Lately, my days have been pretty hectic. Always running! By the end of the day, I feel like I need more hours to check everything off my to-do list. Sounds familiar?I'm convinced there are better ways for me to work and still take the time to enjoy the other things that fuel me. I just want to take my time and not rush.Today, I wanted to share 5 ways to start the day off right. I am already putting some in practice but I still need MAJOR improvements.
Wake up early: Set your alarm an hour earlier ( ok may be 30 minutes ) to slowly wake up. This means you should go to bed early enough to get your 8 hours of sleep at night. Sometimes, I work very early in the morning ( 1 am-4 am). Somehow, my brain seems to function so much better around that time. However, it happens less often now, and I have to admit, it feels good to have a good night sleep - no interruptions. One thing I do which helps a lot is that I actually try to plan my day ahead. The night before I note everything I have to do: complete my to-do list, blogposts to write, contrats to read and sign, unboxing, what to cook for dinner etc ... When I wake up in the morning I have a clear idea of what my day will look like.
Meditate: Read your devotions or go through a book that will uplift your spirit. This can last a mere 10-15 mins. Every morning, I read the verse of the day in my Bible application, then grab a book on my nightstand to read a few words, practice some positive thinking etc ...Use your phone as least as possible. If you can ( meaning not a matter of life or death ), use your phone at the very end of your morning routine.
Make your bed: This is small step but think of it: tidy space, tidy mind right?! It's doable, you would have accomplished the first task of your day. It's the little things.Exercise: And it does not have to be something intense like cardio! I could be may be a 10 minutes Yoga in your bed. Just to stretch your muscles and get you going.
Take time for breakfast: It's the most important meal of the day. Read a book or catch up on e-mails and social media while enjoying a nourishing breakfast.
Healthy tips: have a glass of warm water with lemon right after brushing your teeth. Lemon water will clean and stimulate your kidney and liver.
I also personally drink my tea everyday with fresh ginger { I actually boil my water with slices of fresh ginger ). Ginger has a numerous of health benefits such as cleansing the walls and core of your intestines and liver, reducing the risks of heart disease and strokes, treating certain forms of Cancer and so much more.
Basically, a powerful nutrient.
I hope that these changes to my morning routine will have an impact on how my days go!
Please feel free to share any tips or changes you’ve made to start your day on the right foot.
AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU FOR READING!
