BEING MORE WITH LESS
It has taken me years to discover my style, my taste. Each day I realize how important it is to know who I am, what I love and what I believe in ... in every aspects of my life. I think it's safe to say that fashion wise, I am a minimalist ... or at least, my definition of it. Minimalism does not mean monochromatic, it's all about being more with less. That does not mean I don't get to wear bold prints ruffles like these ones or play around with brighter colours. Fashion is an exploring game, getting out of your comfort zone from time to time. I could wear blacks, whites and greys all day everyday, however, African vibes run in my blood and I'm obsessed with our vibrant and colourful prints. It's part of my culture, my heritage and I could not be more proud. That is something I want to show the world as well and keep on inspiring you through my personal style.I'm currently working on a personal project , there is change coming up in my shop. Basically, I'm creating an online cultural market which will still feature my minimalist prints, but also ethnic goods from Africa ( headwraps, basket bags etc ...). Most of all, I'll be working with local artisans who have a story to share. By partnering with local makers, my main goal is to land them a hand on earning a fair and steady income to help provide for themselves and their families.Exciting right ?! I will keep you guys updated along the way. In the meantime make sure you are following along on my Instagram. Now onto today's look, I'm wearing the Muse cropped jeans from Schoen by Yu. Ever since I've discovered this denim brand, I've been nothing short of obsessed. See my post here. I love the colour of these super soft jeans which is perfect for Spring/Summer. The fit is amazing. I'm paring them with this ruffled choker blouse from Dynamite. I like the fresh minimal floral prints. A real stunner. Let me know your thoughts on today's post.
