ÇA VA DE SOI
Shopping can be more than browsing through clothes, it can be an experience, an emotion.Quality over quantity is a common phrase that has become a way of life for me, and as I entered the ça va de soi boutique in Westmount, this phrase came to my mind. Knitwear is on a whole other level in this place!ça va de soi is a Montréal family business which has been creating amazing timeless knitwear for over 40 years. They design classic pieces that feel like butter on skin using fine wools, rare cashmeres and the softest cottons. The quality of the all natural fabrics extremely impressed me to the point that I could not stop touching them: extra-fine Merino wool, Camel Down, Cashmere, Silk, Organic Cotton. One thing I liked about my visit there is how knowledgeable the staff is. In addition, they genuinely want you to have the best experience, not rushing any sale; while roaming around you can sip of cup of coffee or juice. They also have a laundry room downstairs ( how genius! ) where they properly wash clients' garments the right way, making them look brand new each time.I got the opportunity to try a few garments, and finally decided to go with the Rosella Eau de Rose a gorgeous back buttoned mock neck sweater. This piece is made of Super 160 merino wool, an Australian wool, which is highly coveted and quite rare. Honestly, it feels like second skin! It is as fine as cashmere and due to Super merino wool temperature-regulating properties, I can easily wear this sweater during any season. The Camel Down collection made with handpicked camel wool was equally a huge hit for me.If you're in Montréal or come to visit, go check out one of their boutiques ... You won't regret it.
