Not long ago, a friend of mine needed a model for her Artistic Make Up portfolio. Needless to say that I was so glad she asked me to be her dark skin model ;)I don’t put a lot of make up on a daily basis, so the idea of having my makeup done by someone else while I just sit on a chair and get pampered was so fun. She went with an editorial feel, bold lips, gold eyeshadows, and look at those edgy eyeliners ?! Amazing!We made sure I would wear an African print piece as an ode to my beautiful continent and its immense richness. We completed the look with a bow head wrap ( African print as well ) and some ethnic accessories.When i look at the amazing work of art she executed so perfectly, I can't help but think that she somehow captures the essence of my origins and culture. She is one gifted artist ♡ I feel so humbled to have been able to experience something like this, and secretly hope { well not so secretly now :P } that I'll get another opportunity to relieve such a moment.
