Wedding season is in full swing and I bet you have an upcoming celebration of love to come. My hubby and I were so honoured to witness my sweet friend Norma's emotional wedding this past weekend. I've decided to share with you the dress I opted for the wedding but also other great suggestions. I think they have been numerous articles on "what to wear or not to wear to a wedding" so this post will not be about it. However, I do have two golden rules when I'm hunting for the perfect wedding guest dress: White is a no no ( unless it's requested by the bride and groom ) and nothing too sexy or too revealing.Now let's talk about this
Asos dress. If you know me a little, then you know I love anything crochet and lace. I originally wanted to buy this
Emerald ombré dress from BR but it sold out very quickly in my size. Asos actually has so many dresses options that it was so hard to make a choice. But when I saw this
Paper Dolls dress ( which also comes in
cream ) it was instant love. I have to say, Asos size guide is quite accurate ( at least in my opinion ). I took my measurements and chose my size based on their chart and it was fitting like a glove. I was so worried about the dress not fitting! It was a rush order, received just in time right before our road trip to New Brunswick for the wedding.The
red off the shoulder dress ( I know it kinda look like burnt orange on some photos because of the lighting ) looked so good on the website but let me tell ya, it's even more beautiful in person. The frill sleeves are the cutest. I felt very classy and trendy. Paired it with the famous
Sassey sandals from Steve Madden and my
Coach crossbody. I literally got stopped by at least 5 women telling me how gorgeous the dress looked. When it was time to hit the dance floor , I switched my heels for flats and danced the night away.
