More than 2 years now using natural deodorants and I am definitely happy with the choice I made for my health and body. I think that generally, WE do all care more about what we put on and in our bodies especially when studies have shown how some ingredients can be the source of health issues.I've tried a bunch of natural deodorants, ouch wallet! But I see it as an investment for my health.
Today, I'm sharing the ones I've tried over the last 2 years that actually work. PSA: remember, if you're just starting out on using natural deodorants, give time to your body to adjust. It can take weeks before you can feel like your deodorant is working well, that's totally normal. Personally, in the beginning, I'd just keep a sample in my bag just in case. Just find a bathroom near you, re-apply the product and you're good to go.
A few tips: avoid using deodorants right after shaving. For anyone who has sensitive skin, you can apply a thin layer of shea butter, coconut oil or argan oil before using your deodorant.Without further a-do. Mabrook Lime & Rose: It works and smells amazing on top of that. Lime and Rose is a perfect duo. It's currently the one I reach out to the most lately.
Schmidt's: I like their Sensitive skin line. It's gentle and does not irritate my underarms. They also carry other natural products. You might want to check them out.
Dado Cosmetics: Dado Cosmetics carries all natural skincare. The owner also offers deodorants which are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Leaves of Tree: really loved this one. Very practical when you travel and efficient.
My favourite was the Eucalyptus MintPrimally Pure: one of the first one I've ever tried. The only downside is that shipping in Canada is quite expensive.
Oyin Handmade: it's a brand I knew but for natural hair care products. So I was very surprised to know they carry natural deodorants as well. This one is efficient, does not irritate the skin. The only issue would be the fragrance. This is more of a personal preference. You might absolutely love the fragrance, so definitely give it a try because it works.
